     • You can also click on the "Browse By" tag cloud to view the most popular brands, and types of items.
     • Finally, we have added a "What's New" section under our Dig page, the results would show the last 50 items listed.

2. How to Swap (Bid)
     • We offer free public viewing of items we have available online through the dig page. However, once you find an item you are interested in, you would have to register with the website to place bids.
     • A "bid" consists of an offer to trade a particular item with one or more of yours; this means that in order for you to bid on someone’s item, you would have post your items using our swap functionality (My Stuff page).
     • There are many ways of swapping, you can bid on someone’s item with a similar type of item, or offer multiple items to increase your chances of winning. For example, if you like person A’s Jacket, you can bid on the jacket with another jacket, or a shirt and pants.
     • You determine the value of the other person’s item by choosing what you want to bid on it. If the person agrees with the bids you have placed, then the trade is complete and you will both need to ship the items to each other.
     • You are allowed to use the item to bid on multiple items, whoever responds first will win your bid.

*Bid, people usually think of biding as using money to bid on something you want, in this case, think of it as more of an offering of trade.

Have you ever gotten an item and thought “wow the photo does not do it justice!” If yes, let us try and give you some tips on taking the best photos to showcase your items.
     • The best time: during the day when there is plenty of sunlight.
     • The best place: choose a solid background, like a wall, or a nice color cloth?
     • The best pose: beside than laying your item out flat, we always encourage our users to model their items, not only it’s easier to see the shape of the item, it also help people identify size and length of an item.
     • The best image size: before you start taking your pictures, make sure the resolution setting on your digital camera is set to small, that way when you upload them, there is no resizing required. To ensure quick uploads, image size must be less than 1 MB and resolution of 640 by 480.

7. how to maximize trades
Everyone loves a great bargain; it doesn’t matter if it’s on a sale’s rack or online. So how do you get the best bargain here? Barter!! I know. I just encourage everyone to barter=) not only is it fun, it also helps you get the best deal. Especially when you have something that everyone wants, feel free to negotiate for the best deal by sending users messages, setting a “Looking For” in your item’s description, or simply asking for specific items. Our site is built to allow users to barter therefore maximizing fun and value!
     • It is all about presentation: We recommend you to take full advantage of our three picture spaces, take a picture of each angle that way a bidding user will get the full view and truly appreciate your item.
     • Reminds you of some good times? Feel free to explain the history of the item.
     • Getting good feedback from bidders will help you earn trust, therefore maximizing your trading opportunities.
     • You can use the update your bid button to change bids at any time before the other person accept or reject your bid. So barter away!

8. tips for easy and fast uploads
Start putting all your swap worthy items in one place, on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Put on your favorite music, pour some wine, take out your digital camera (change resolution to small :), and snap away. Have fun with the pose, placement, and background. When you done, put all pictures in one folder in your computer, and start posting them.
remember to take a picture of the tag with brand and size, that way when you are posting them later, you don’t have to go back to the stack and find the size!

9. How to pack and ship
     • Please send off the item as how you would like to receive it. Dry cleaned or washed and ironed as needed.
     • If it’s something that might get wet in case of rain, please place it in a plastic bag.

We recommend using the good old USPS, here are some tips that will help you save money on shipping, and speed up the process:
     • So when to use priority versus first class?
          • Priority: Whenever you are shipping aa relatively light item out of state; remember, you can use Priority packaging so you dont have to pay for it! In particular, they have these strong plastic envelopes, perfect for shipping clothes and accessories (non-fragile).
note: Priority offers flat rate shipping boxes, in almost all cases, it is cheaper to use regular pay per pound instead, only use flat rate if you are shipping heavy items.
          • First class: if you are shipping something nearby, first class will get there around the same time as priority, so why not save some money. For most clothing items, it is always cheaper to ship in envelopes verse boxes.
          • Delivery confirmation: Even though for now, it is not required on our site, we highly recommend getting delivery confirmation on all shipments. It validates that you actually shipped the item and also allows your swap partner to track the shipment online. It is only an extra 73 cents but is free if you print your postage online at here
